    3. I have noticed that in the typed 1863 birth registers, where the Registry has typed them from the original handwritten indices, that there is an error. We have annotated this with a comment. #COMMENT Surname is out of alphabetical order - could be a mistype of GOLLANCZ Typed: Gollanez Original: Gollancz http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/cgi/information.pl?r=34699803&d=bmd_1223978767 >From other reference material (DNB, obituary) it could be said that this is the birth of the noted English literatist Sir Israel Gollancz (1863-1930). I wonder where we stand where the original index would seem to have the correct name and it is GRO's reproduction that has failed a QC test. Is this a case for having an entry under the original name? Or some way to duplicate the entry under both spellings. Regards, Andrew
