Hi everyone. I am transcribing sep births at the moment, but I have a handwritten entry that, if I place it where the X is, it is out of sequence by one place on my list. do I go ahead, or insert in the correct position? Thanks. Herbie.
Put it in where the mark is, even if it is not exactly where you would expect. http://www.freebmd.org.uk/vol_faq.html#6g applies. Most marks are clearly between two lines, especially if you look for the centre of an X or star shape.
