Have recently moved to Windows Vista and completed first transcription thereunder. Sent file to FreeBMD successfully, but unable to find Output file in order to send to Scan 2. I believe Vista may do something peculiar with these files. Looking for advice please. Peter Pannell
Peter, I had the same problem with Vista and spent ages trying to sort it out. When you save a FreeBMD file it ends up in a folder called Virtual Store which can be found by navigating through C:/ users/ (select your own user name) / App Data / Local / Virtual Store / Program Files / WinBMD / Output. I have created a shortcup on my desk top to get to this folder more easily. If you have Windows Vista the file may well be saved at C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\WinBMD\Output, where xxxx is your user name on your own computer. By resetting Define Save Path in the File menu to be somewhere in your 'Documents' folder you can find the bmd files where you expect them to be, instead of hunting for them. The location would then be somewhere in C:\Users\xxxx\Documents\ wherever you choose to locate it.
