For example your entry: Revell,Harry,Mellin or Thompson,Hull,9d,667 should be transcribed as: Revell,Harry,Mellin,Hull,9d,667 #COMMENT(2) entry reads Mellin or Thompson for spouse name Revell,Harry,Thompson,Hull,9d,667 Allan Raymond ----- Original Message ----- From: "Graham Chamberlain" <[email protected]> To: "FreeBMD Feedback" <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, April 14, 2009 12:32 PM Subject: Alternative Spouse Names in Marriage Index I have just resumed transcribing after a break and have started on Marriages. Previous marriage scans I have done were pre-1910 and without spouse names. In the 1934 batch I am transcribing I have had some entries where there are two alternative spouse names, with which I have followed the TWYS rule. When uploading the file I get the warning "Possible alternative name (should be transcribed as two entries): name ....." although my file is accepted. Should I leave it as is or is it necessary to change the entries to enter two lines with a comment. If the latter is correct why is the file accepted?
