As one of the respondents to David Jones' Hallingden query I quite agree with David Mayall's Type What You See instruction but I also take exception to his assumption that we were all advising him to change it to Haslingden. >From the seven or eight replies I have seen nobody suggested that. What is Hallingden,8c supposed to be was the initial question that was quickly answered. A number of replies even said TWYS. My preference would be to insert a #THEORY line after all such occurrences, in this case something like: #THEORY District likely to be Haslingden,8e but the chap at admin thinks we're all a bit daft.
