In WinBMD v5 ( find the version from Help menu and 'About') In the Scan View menu select 'Open New scan' (if scan is not already open) and navigate to your scan image and open it. In the View menu at the top of the Scan View window select 'Show Ruler' and calibrate the ruler in the usual way under the 1st and 10th entry. In the View menu at the top of the Scan View window select 'Image Tools'. Near the bottom of the new window select 'Rotation' and then select a number. If your scan slopes uphill left to right ( /) then use a suitable negative number ( -2 is a good one to try) and click on 'Rotate'. If your scan slopes downhill left to right (\) then use a positive number. If the first rotation does not achieve the desired result, use more rotations until the horizontal coloured 'ruler' is near enough parallel to the line of text. In BMDVerify get the latest version and use the L and R buttons at the bottom of the window to tilt the page left or right, 1 degree at a time.
