Can I take this opportunity to remind ALL members of the Admins list of two cardinal rules for the smooth running of the list; 1) The Admins list is for advice on how to do things, based on the current way that things are done. It is not for discussion of or advocacy for or against changes to the established way of doing things. The FreeBMD-Discuss list exists for discussion of potential changes, and such discussions must take place there. 2) Where a discussion, or a particular post, is not appropriate for the list, the poster will be contacted privately by a list admin who has been appointed by the trustees to maintain good order on the list, and advised accordingly. Public comment from the list admin in such cases is always restricted to what is absolutely necessary to redirect discussions to the Discuss list if required. In particular, the list admin refrains from public comments about the way that list members conduct themselves. If any member of the list feels that there is a problem with a post or a discussion, they should draw the attention of the list admin to it, but should NOT comment upon the appropriateness or otherwise of that post on the list. -- Dave Mayall
