    3. Keith This issue was discussed on the FreeBMD-syndicates list yesterday and today. >From June quarter 1974 all volume numbers became purely numeric - 21 or 32 instead on 1a and 10b as examples. In WinBMD version 6 you can use 'Do not validate districts' in the Option menu on a temporary basis to allow you to enter Plymouth,21 M'78 Remember to remove the tick from 'Do not validate districts' after use. 3. This has now been added to the Transcribers' Knowledge Base - http://www.freebmd.org.uk/vol_faq.html#3o Note that the option is Do Not Validate _Page Numbers_ and it also needs to be selected to do the upload to FreeBMD. 3. Hi Barrie, The example in the query from Keith Simpson that started this thread - at the bottom of the second column of 1942B2S0187<http://images.freebmd.org.uk/GUS/1942/Births/June/ANC-05/P-Z/1942B2-S-0187.jpg>- actually includes a Volume in an unusual format so would require selecting the option Do Not Validate Districts. Transcribers in the Ian Brooke syndicate have occasionally come across other examples like that in 1946 births. Perhaps TKB 3(o) could be expanded to cover both volumes and page numbers in unusual formats ? 3. My mistake ... Jeff was right, it should be Do Not Validate Districts. TKB 3(o) has been amended.
