I am a very new transcriber with Vista. I had the same problem. My brother, a bit of an anorak, suggested that I should try saving the WinBMD software into a folder within My Documents rather than as Programme Software. I did this and it worked like a dream. Try it and see if it works for you as well. I would appreciate hearing how you got on. Good luck. (He has now gone on holiday.) I went through all of the procedure as recommended and still had the message Run-time error '429': Active X component can't create object Can you give me any advice please? Regards.
