    3. I have a couple of questions about how to transcribe this image. One entry has "Blaupapier or Blue" in the mother's name field. I have transcribed it as follows, per Knowledge Base 6(u). Is this correct? Rudd,David L.,Blaupapier,Northampton,3b,100 #COMMENT(2) entry reads Blaupapier or Blue for mother's name Rudd,David L.,Blue,Northampton,3b,100 Also, there is a handwritten entry at the bottom of the page. I can't find an insertion mark on the page where the entry would be in alphabetical order. Therefore, I transcribed it after the last entry on the page, per KB 6(g). Also, the district name looks like "Kings L.", with no volume number. I assume this is supposed to be Kings Lynn,4b; but, I know we are supposed to TWYS. FreeBMD won't let me enter a district without a volume number so I entered a "?" for the missing field per KB 6(q). Is this correct? Do I need a #THEORY line? Royle,Barry,Woods,Kings L.,?,See D44 Charles Bailey

    3. Charles In my limited experience, and with great help from syndicate leader, I find we are encouraged to follow TWYS and not assume. I go back and re read sections of TKB frequently when unsure Kings L. is very likely Kings Lynn but has to remain Kings L. and you can probably add as a district to your picklist. They have a whole range of alternate spellings for each place so we continue as seen. So you seem to have it here with the use of ? and I do not think we need a theory as such For your own peace of mind you will find that entry on page 125 in Dec 44 is still as Kings L. but with volume and page then regards Colin ________________________________ From: Charles Bailey <charlesbailey23@comcast.net> To: freebmd-admins@rootsweb.com Sent: Thu, 28 July, 2011 0:20:08 Subject: 1942B4-R-0111 I have a couple of questions about how to transcribe this image.
