    3. I belong to many lists and only FreeBMD does not show the list tag referred to by David Mayall. I never have any difficulty with reading the subject line with the tag in place. I do actually filter my email as David suggests, but it would certainly make it easier to sort messages if Rootsweb had a consistent policy to show a tag. And I second that. I deleted the first message. Only after subsequent posts did I assume they were via FreeBMD. David many of us would not have a clue how to filter such messages if our email programme is that sophisticated. This string is a classic example it came from Richard Oliver - and that could be anyone really title was simply Old dead nun I nearly would have deleted without opening in case it was a dangerous or silly joke if I had not seen later replies on the same subject from people that regularly advise starting with FreeBmd and then something else would be a great help even if the quick view subject is truncated regards Colin

    3. I subscribe to many mailing lists and the easiest to cleanly filter are those that have the listname within square brackets. Would be happy to see all emails from [FreeBMD-Admins] even if this lengthens the Subject line. 3. The list is VERY easy to filter, even without tags in the subject line. -----Original Message----- From: freebmd-admins-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:freebmd-admins-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Dave Evans Sent: 19 July 2011 02:52 To: freebmd-admins@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: Old dead nun.... 3. We seem to being going off target with what this all about?   Richard asked a question which had a dubious subject line but apparently got answered to his satisfaction.   If we want to discuss how to change our way of working it should be moved to the Discuss  list and leave the Admin list to serve the purpose for which it is intended.   http://www.freebmd.org.uk/lists.html provides more information relating to our mailing lists.   Allan Raymond FreeBMD Coordinator of Syndicates     --- On Tue, 19/7/11, David Mayall <david.mayall@googlemail.com> wrote: From: David Mayall <david.mayall@googlemail.com> Subject: RE: Old dead nun....
