    3. Hi Wilson, Do you have your ggrandfather's death certificate? I would get that and see what details are on it. If after 1876, you will probably get his parents and where he was born. You can work your way to states and counties from here: http://www.usgenweb.org/statelinkstext.html where you can find addresses for courthouses. If you write to a courthouse, send a LSASE and ask the costs for what you are looking for. You need to be specific or within a 2 year period. If they are nice?, they will search for a small period of time. My birth county in IL charges $7 per cert (death, marriage, birth). If you know the county, you might want to go to their local library and search for a newspaper obit. IL has newspapers on microfilms that they interlibrary loan all over the US. Grandfather, William Henry Frazier, born & died in Lauderdale County, MS near a place called Fraaier's Grove. Father Wilson Frazier, died there in 1941 about 28 years old. and me, Wilson L. Frazier, born in Meridian, MS 1940.
