    1. [FRAZIER] Joseph Frazier, from PA, in Iowa in 1850 census
    2. Hello all, I found my GGGrandfather, Joseph Frazier with his family, in the 1850 census living in Iowa. They were in District 4, Scott County, IA at that time. They returned to Rock Island County, IL, shortly afterward. The are: Joseph Frazier, age 41, born PA, a farmer Mary (Power) Frazier, 38, born PA Delilah S., 16, PA Alexander H., 14, OH William P., 13, OH Sarah E., 11, OH Julia A., 8, OH James L., 6, OH Elizabeth A., 5, OH George T., 3, IA (My GGrandfather) Next door to them in the census is another family of Fraziers, who I suspect must be a brother to Joseph. John Frazier, 46, PA, Farmer Martha Frazier, 43, PA John M., 16, OH, Laborer William H., 14, OH Hiram E., 12, PA (?) David A., 9, OH James L., 4 OH >From various places on the net I have found reference to Joseph and Mary Powers being married on 8 Feb 1833 in Washington Co, PA. The children of Joseph and Mary (except for Delilah and my GGrandfather George T.) were apparently born in Deerfield Township, Morgan Co., OH. Delilah S., married Oscar Dayton, William P., Married Ella R. Brown and Sarah E., married Anthony Wayne Rader. My George T., married Anna M. Bach, settled in Kansas (Beloit and Udall). Interestingly, Joseph, returning to Rock Island Co., IL, joined the Union Army at the age of 52 (in 1862) and was killed or died 2 months later on 29 Dec 1862 at Bowling Green, KY. I guess, after all that info, I am looking for anyone of the family, anyone who can tell me the father and mother of Joseph (and if in fact John is his brother) or any other info on this interesting Frazier family. Regards, Jerry Carbiener Minden, NV
