    3. I'm searching for parents and siblings of my g-g-grandfather, Phineas FRAZIER. He was born Feb. 5, 1827 in Linton Twp., Coshocton County, Ohio. His wife, Mary Jane BUXTON was born April 11, 1832 in East Union, Coshocton County, Ohio. Her parents were Rev. John Wesley BUXTON and Elizabeth TODD. Phineas and Mary Jane were married on Oct. 24, 1852 in Miller Twp., Knox County, Ohio. There were 8 children born to this union, most born in Knox County. They were: 1) Elizabeth Maria, born 9-15-1854, m. Charles BLAIR in 1870. She died 7-15-1918. 2) William Madison, born 10-28-1856, m. Cora MARSHALL. He died Jan. 24, 1948. 3) Mary Mae, born 5-5-1859. She married Daniel Harry MORELAND. She died 5-11-1931. 4) Hattie Melissa, born 12-24-1861, died 7-2-1868. 5) Ella (Eldora D.), b. 3-15-1864, died 6-20-1887. 6) Hettie Marcela, b. 4-10-1868, m. He died Dec. 27, 1933 8) Elmer Stewart, b. 3-14-1874, m. Beatrice MILLER. He died Sept. 17, 1944. Phineas and Mary Jane spent most of their lives in Knox and Morrow counties. Phineas was a Union soldier in the Civil War. He inherited some land from Solomon (Samuel) COURTRIGHT in Union County, which he sold not long afterward to one of Solomon's sons. In various records Phineas's name was spelled various ways. Most family members, including my grandfather, spelled it Phineas; discharge papers listed it as Phineas and also Phenes. I've seen it spelled other ways, too. I believe his tombstone spells it Phenes. Any information on parents, siblings, family members of my g-g-grandfather would be greatly appreciated. You may correspond with me at slooker@erinet.com Thanks so much!
