I do not know the emigration date of the first, a Thomas Frazer "de Ecosse" who married Elisabeth Couet - he was probably born around 1708. But I do find the next three generations of this family in place in Beaumont: Thomas' son Augustin, born 1734 in Beaumont, married Francoise Adam in Beaumont - then their son another Thomas, born Beaumont in 1774 and married Marie Lageaux in 1802 in Beaumont - their daughter Luce Anastasie Frazer born 1821, married Achille Chiniquy in Beaumont in 1838. (This last couple emigrated to Illinois in the US.) So there was at least one established FRAZER family in the New World before the 77th Highlanders appeared on the scene. I'm sure there were others! By the way, FRAZIER listers - if you have any other information about the people I reference above - siblings, etc. - I'd love to hear about it! Cheers to all!
