    1. JACOB FRAZIER & NANCY (WINE or HUGHES) JOHNSON
    2. Hello fellow listers! I'm looking for any information on a JACOB FRAZIER, who appears in the 1850 Wirt Co., WV census with the family of Thomas PICKERING: 1850 WIRT CO.,VA CENSUS POST OFFICE: NEWARK Ancestry.com Online Image #75 of 98 LINE 15 500-500 THOMAS PICKERING 66 Male Ship Carpenter Born New Hampshire NANCY PICKERING 52 Female Born VA NELSON A.PICKERING 25 Male Potter Born New Hampshire HANNAH A/H PICKERING 18 Female Born New Hampshire MARCH PICKERING 16 Female Born VA JACOB FRAZIER 38 Male Laborer Born VA (Note: The Jacob Frazier in this census would have been born around 1822.) This JACOB FRAZIER may well have been the second (or third) husband of NANCY (WINE or HUGHES) JOHNSON. Nancy appears to have been widowed by JACOB by the time of the 1870 census: 1870 Lewis Co.,WV Census Weston, WV Battelle Twp. Enum. Date: Aug.24, 1870, Page 9 60-6 Nancy FRAZIER 40 VA can't read or write Sally JOHNSON 17 VA attending school, can't read/write Margaret A.JOHNSON 14 VA attending school, can't read/write Amanda E.JOHNSON 10 VA attending school, can't read/write Since Nancy is found with no children by the last name of FRAZIER, it may be possible that JACOB FRAZIER died early in the marriage. Would love to know where JACOB died and/or is buried. I believe JACOB and Nancy were married in Braxton Co., WV on Dec. 13, 1864. Sure would like to connect with anyone who knows something about this couple! Thanks in advance, Claudia Pell-Salvatore
