    3. Not one hour ago I found myself going back a generation after far ar to long at being stuck, I'd like to update you with my new found info see if I can ring any bells Alexander Fraser jnr b. November 20, 1845 in Speymouth, Moray, Scotland father Alexander Fraser mother Catherine McGrue Siblings of Alexander Jnr so far are Hughina Fraser William Fraser and John Fraser all born in Spaymouth (Hughina being the eldest born 1843, and John the youngest born in 1852) I can't find a marraige between Alexander snr and Catherine McGrue, and worst of all I can't find any listing at all for a birth of Catherine McGrue, I have a feeling her Maiden name is spelt slightly different than on the birth certificates of her children. Alexander jnr married Elizabeth Fraser (her maiden name being Fraser) on May 18, 1871 in Elgin, Scotland. Elizabeth was born about 1854 (I think it may be earlier) unsure where maybe Forres, Moray father John Fraser mother Elizabeth Matheson John Fraser married Elizabeth Matheson on August 6, 1831 Forres, Moray, Scotland. But I can't find the birth of their daughter Elizabeth anywhere. Can anybody offer any help? Thanks Jacqui Website http://members.tripod.com/~Jacqui_Rigby/index.html

George/Thomas Frazier and wife Mary Magdelene "Polly" Shaffer. They first landed in PA where their first son was born and then moved on to North Carolina where the rest of the kids were born. I'm sorry to say that my group of researchers, all related through this line of Frazier's, have not made the leap accross the ocean to discover the names of George/Thomas' parents. 1. [FRAZIER-L] John or Alexander Fraser
    2. Jacqui Rigby
    3. Hi all I am New to this lio I will start at the basic and later work my way up. I am seeking a Fraser fistly thought to have been John Fraser then the possiblity of it being Alexander Fraser, Anyway in the 1881 census he was classed as Alexander Fraser and He was working at Craigmill in Dallas, Moray, Scotland as a Catlleman his age in 1881 was 70 so at a rough guess he was born 1810-1811 in Forres, Moray. in 1843 his (I believe) his fist daughter Hughina was born in Speymouth, Moray so I checked out a Hughina born in Speymouth and came up with her mothers name of Catherine McGrue. He also had a daughter Elizabeth born in the 1850's, so I checked out Elizabeth birth to a Alexander and Catherine and came up with nothing (sigh) Possiblity of Alexander marrying twice? who knows? anyway in the 1881 census he was working as a cattleman and at the same address was a Margaret Fraser who was listed as married aged 42 also a William Fraser aged 17 and unmarried, what I don't know is, if Alexander was married to Margaret and had himself a young wife or maybe Margaret was another daughter who knows once again? anyway that is the basic start of my Fraser Line Oh Elizabeth Married a Alexander Fraser around 1870 in Elgin and together had around 10 or 11 kids, any leads out there? I'd be very grateful Jacqui Rigby (nee Fraser)

    2. Jeannie Frazier
    3. Help!!! I have hit the preverbal "BRICK WALL", we all know and hate. My gr. gr. gr. grandparent's were Alexander Frazier b. in 1781. He was married in Oct. 6, 1808 in HENRY CO., VA. to Mary "Polly" Meredith b. 1786. The sticky wicket is I have know idea who either of their parents were. They had the following children: George Washington Frazier/Sarah Dillon became the patriarch of a large Confederate family. Four of his son's served in the Confederate army as Chaplain's. Jacob Tyler Frazier was the last serviving Confederate Chaplain who stood with Lee at his surrender. Creed T. Frazier/Charlotte Mullions Elizabeth A. Frazier/Perry J. Kahill Ruth Ann Frazier (have no idea what happened to her) Robert Alexander Frazier/Mary Elizabeth Anderson Mathew (went west) June P Fraizer/William S. Albert Nancy J. Frazier/William Green Meredith William Green Meredith was thought to have been born in Ireland, but whether it's true or dot, we have know idea. Nor do we know if William and Mary Polly Meredith were related. It's all up for grabs. There has been rumor that Alexander was related to John Frazier 1730. John Frazier is the first recorded member of the Frazier Clan to arrived in VA. He became the patriarch of what is known as the Richmond, VA Frazier's. Any information you might have on this wonderful old Scotch-Irish family would be greatly appreciated. Thank you , Jeannie Fraizer hank you , Jeannie Fraizer

    1. [FRAZIER-L] John Fraser, New Brunswick, Canada
    2. Lily Fraser
    3. John Fraser (JF) was born circa 1822 (potential range = 1820-1825) in East River, Pictou County, Nova Scotia (NS). His parents came to NS from Scotland. Religion = Presbyterian. He married Josephine Aubin (1854-1932) in Grand Falls (GF), New Brunswick (NB) on May 12, 1879 (2nd marriage?). They had children who mostly settled in and around GF: John/Jack (1875-1948); Marie (1878-1929); Daniel (1880-1943); Annie (1884-1947); Josephine Louise (1887-1915), and Thomas (1889-1904). JF had a grist mill in GF. I have read that he was also a Reverend with the Episcopalian / Anglican Church but queries to Church Archives did not confirm this. He died in GF on Nov. 16, 1894. JF was not in the GF area in the years 1851, 1861, 1871. I am looking for clues regarding when and why he came to NB and any links to Pictou County, NS and to the names of his parents. Thanks! Lily Fraser (lfraser@nb.sympatico.ca)
