Hi all, I'm sending this to several lists because the lines are intertwined. I haven't been able to get back very far with the Fraziers, so the ones below are from the Freeport, IL (Stephenson Co.) area. All resided in Stephenson and Lee Counties (Dixon), Illinois. Numbers beside each name are generation numbers. I'm willing to share info and sincerely appreciate any help. The Lorraine Frazier/Robert Harman line is mine but I'd love info on anybody here. I'm researching the line of William Frazier born Aug. 23 1825, in Yellow Creek Twp., Columbiana, OH. He served in the Civil War in Company I, 140th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers. All I know about him is that he married a Mary Burk. The only child that I'm aware of is John Thomas Frazier born Sep. 9, 1847, in the same area as his father. John died Aug. 28, 1927 and is buried in Beaver Cemetary, Beaver, PA. He married Sarah Morrow Mar. 28, 1871, and had 8 children. Their daughter, Sadie Clair is my great grandmother. I'd love to hear from anyone who might be researching this line. Karen Miller karenwin@netins.net

Hello everyone, I'm back again! I have had some luck with my last query, but find if it's out of sight for more than a month or so, no one remembers and there are always new list members. So, here goes again. I'm looking for members of what now appears to be the Robert Alexander Frazier/Frasure/Frashure Family. For a long time we have thought that Robert Sr. was Alexander Frazier, but it would appear that his real name was Robert Alexander, born c 1781, we think in Henry CO.VA., died in Giles CO., VA. He was married to Mary "Polly" Meredith, in 1808. They had a large family. This time I'm going to concentrate more on my own line, and hopefully make contact with my grandfather's sibling's family. Creed Dillon Frazier was a gr. grandson of Robert Alexander Frazier/Mary "Polly" Meredith. Creed's parents were George Washington Frazier/Sarah "Sallie" Dillon, of Henry CO., VA. Creed Dillon Frazier was born 1833, died 1913 in Pochahontas, VA. He served in the Confederate Army and was a farmer. He married Julian Ann Manning, daughter of John Manning and Margaret, in Henry Co., VA. But, in the 1880 census they were living in the Clear Fork district, Abbs Valley, Tazewell Co., VA. They had previously lived in Giles CO., VA. They were listed with all ten of their children and Creed's mother and father, George Washington Frazier and Sarah "Sallie" Dillon. Creed and Julia Ann had the following children: John Easley Frazier/Lula Potter James Oscar Frazier/Mary Emily King Creed Fulton Frazier/Alta Saunders Lena Burk Frazier/John Bell Saunders George Andrew Tyler Frazier/Lula Mae Wiley Sallie Margaret Lee Fraizer/J.H. Harwell Tobias Manning Frazier, died March 9, 1890 at age of 21. Daniel Hoge Frazier/Helen Louise Baker William McTyer Frazier/Mary Blair Ward (my grandparents) Wade Hampton Frazier/Eliza Harrison Greever One child of James Oscar Frazier was, Mrs. Jesse Warren of California. Another child of another son was, Lillian Frazier Huffman. I have no idea were she was from or who her father was. All this information has been taken from a manuscript sent to the parents of my third cousin, Judge Henry Bowen Frazier. It was sent over 50 years ago, after a family reunion, honoring George Washington Frazier and his wife, Sarah "Sallie" Dillon, on August 4, 1935, at the Methodist Church in Bluefield, VA. If this information jogs anyone's memory, please contact me at jeannie.frazier@worldnet.att.net. Thank you. Sincerely, Jeannie Frazier Redwood City, CA

Frazier Researchers, I am looking for the descendants and ancesters of Andrew J. Frasher born abt 1862 in OH (US Federal census 1870). A granddaughter told me his wife was Ida May or Ivanola and they had the following children: Jackson Rollo born 8 Jan 1885, McClure, Henry, OH, died 9 Feb 1940 Omaha, NE; Charles; Ralph; Mode; Gay; Walter; Goldie. In the US Federal Census 1870 for Pleasant township, Ferry County of Ohio, I found him listed as the son of James R. Frasher age 46 born in MA and Margaret J. age 37 born in OH; with the following siblings: Mary E. age 16 born OH; George W age 15 born OH; Charles M. age 10 born OH; James age 6 born OH; Ester age 4 born OH; William H. age 2 born OH; Worley W. age 2/12 born OH. This family is also listed in the 1880 census with the exception of the parents (James R. and Margaret J.) Mary E. and George. In the 1880 census, the name is FRAZIER and Ester is listed as Hester. Any help on any of the above people would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Tamra Asay
Hi Frazier researchers, I have posted quite a bit in the last two weeks about my ancestors in KY. I am however, also looking for them further back in Kent County,MD. There is a fanciful family legend that has a Hugh Frazier of Paisley, Scotland kidnapped off the streets at age 7 and sold into servitude in the US about 1700. He ended up as an indentured servant to a William Cummings and married his daughter Margaret "Peggy" at the end of his servitude. At some time or another this family ended up in Kent County,MD where they produced the following children: George who m. Mary (supposedly Wilson, daughter of William Wilson) and died in Harrison County,KY in 1801 ...see my earler post on him. John who m. Mary ( supposed Yearly, daughter of William Yearly) Hugh, Jr. Mary who m. James Collins Peggy who m. I have yet to prove a great deal of this story, but I have found the Fraziers in Kent County,MD. Since someone asked me about John Frazier, above and my response included information that might be helpful to someone else I am posting it here. George Frazier The Kent County Fraziers are in themselves, in a very short time period, a tangled web of George's, Hughs, Johns and Mary's. Haven't quite sorted them all out yet. Anywho......here is what I have on John and Mary Yearly Frazier of Kent County,MD: Mary Yearly's father was William Yearly and her mother Mary ( I do not know her maiden name. ) (Source: Colonial Families of the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Vol I by Barnes and Wright) William Yearly of KE County b. abt 1685/6. In 1757 a land transaction lists him as being 71. d. leaving a will dated July 16, 1756 in which he names, among others, his wife Mary and daughter Mary Frazier. Mary Yearly died in 1765 and her will also names daughter Mary Frazier. (there is more on this Yearly family in the book but no names of William's siblings. Mary Yearly Frazier's siblings were names John, Williams, Patience and Susanna) I have also seen something by someone doing family research which says that Mary Yearly was the wife of Hugh Frazier rather than his brother John. I really don't have proof of the marriage so I don't know. I am heavily leaning toward John however. Hugh Frazier was taken to court on May 1, 1746 in Kent County for having committed fornication producing a bastard child by Mary Jerome, daughter of Thomas and Sarah Jerome (KECR JS#24:323). So if he ended up with a wife named Mary let us hope that it was poor Mary Jerome. Also, the will of a Hugh Frazier of Kent County,MD written July 7, 1800 proved Dec 10, 1800 from the book "Abstracts of Kent County, MD wills, Vol 1 1777-1816 by Christos Christou,JR and John Anthony Barnhouser pg. 163 MD Archives: Liber 8 Folios 83-85) "To my brother John Frazier my house and lot during his lifetime, then divided between my nephew Hugh Frazier, son of my brother George, and Mary Collins dau of Mary (his sister?) and Mary Yearly, daughter of Edward Yearly (is this a niece? if so another sister married a Yearly). Also, a Mary Frazier d. in Kent County in 1812. Will written Jan 15, 1812, proved Feb. 4, 1812 (MD State Archives: Liber 9 Folio 159-60) "After the death of my husband, my estate to all my children but if my husband survives my child or children then to my husband forever. Consented to and approbated by John Frazier,Jr. Exec. my husband John Frazier. Witnesses: Phillip Brooks, Thomas Brooks, Martha Cooper." A John Frazier served in the Revolution in the Kent County Militia, Private 1st Battalion 1775-1778 as did William and George and Thomas Frazier name that (Source: Bruckley's lists, Clements and Wright and The Patriotic Marylander, Vol III. Book: Revolutionary Patriots of Kent and Queen Anne's Counties, MD by Henry C. Peden, Jr. 1995) Kent County Fraziers who took the Oath of Allegiance there in 1775 were: George, James, John, Thomas and William (Source: Kent County Records) A John Frazier appears in the 1790 Kent County,MD census with 2 males under 16 years old and 4 females of all ages. He also has 7 slaves. (My Fraziers were slave owners in both KY and MO.) Also in the 1790 Census in Kent County are George, Hugh, and James. In the St. Paul's Parish Register (Kent County, MD Anglican Church), the following children of John and Mary (Yearly?) Frazier are baptized: Martha b. 7/1/1753; John b. 11/1/175? : William b. 2/1/1758 ; Hugh b 10/13/1763; Thomas b. 10/3/1771. Also, the children of John Frazier, Jr and Anne (Yearly?): James b. 8/24/1771; Samuel b. 12/3/1773
