I believe the following to be true but have no proof. Dorcas (or Dorcus) was born about 1777. She married a Frazier and had two sons, Robert and John and probably other children. They can be found in the Dekalb County, Alabama 1850 Census. In this census, Dorcas is listed as being born in North Carolina, while both Robert and John Frazier are listed as being born in South Carolina. The following is the History of our Fraziers, Salina was an Octoroon Slave in Alabama. She had children by her Slave owner. It is believed their names where Thomas, Ben, William or George. There was also possibly a daughter named Darkis. Later on Salina married a Mr. Frazier (Mulatto) and produced several children. Many of these children moved to Louisiana. I am searching for information on my great-grandfather, James Melvin FRAZER. I think his father's name was Alexander FRAZER (b. Tn) and his mother's name was Elizabeth. Some of his siblings are: Harrison, Alexander, Frank and Anna. It is said that James was born 16 Oct 1857/58 in Iowa or Kansas City, MO. He died near Golden, CO on 21 April 1933. He married Celia Viola SMITH on 16 Oct 1883 in Mt. Ayre, Ringgold Co., Iowa. He and Celia had the following children: Elva, Leo, Winona, Ivan, Tressie, Hazel and Wilma. Ok, last time. You are dumb/I am dumb if we open an attachment without having our uptodate virus checker turned on. DO NOT OPEN. Attachments: I Love You A fixit for the I Love You Very Pretty Kathleen, helper with Macoupin County page, wrote from her company and told me to warn you all again. I doubt that I could reply if her company is anything like my husband's. I had the warning abt the fixit last nite. He read it and said, Forward that to my office address. He had already told me their computer manager was going nuts with all the damage people in the plant had done by opening the I LOVE YOU attach and threatened them with no email or attachments if they didn't stop opening it. Well, that msg he wanted me to forward bounced back to me. Company must have put a wall around system or something. You all might want to read up on the recent virus more. I am sure there are a lot of urls out there but according to what I was hearing on the news last nite there is a possiblility that if you get the virus it could get your password and return it to the culprit. Mary "Polly" (maiden name unknown) married a (given name unknown) Frazier. 2 daughters: Dorcas b ca 1816 Betsey b between 1806 and 1810 In the 1850 Conway County census, Mary is found living with daughter Dorcas and son-in-law John Luster. Mary is said to have been Cherokee. I have no record of any names of other children, but 1820 tax list for Pulaski County, AR, lists that there were three males in the household. One MIGHT have been a William Frazier that lived near Dorcas after she married. Dorcas Frazier married John Luster 1831 Conway County, AR.
