He was, according to family legend, born on a ship coming from France just as it entered New York Harbor. He was said to be a twin, but no one remembers his brother's name. He would have been born in the late 1800's as his daughter, Helen Franchois, was born in 1909 in Illinois. He was married to Ruth Little and Americanized the last name at some point. Thank you!!
