DNA RESEARCH TO LINK FAMILIES TO ANCESTORS See http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,295015073,00.html Researchers at BYU have spent 17 months searching for people willing to donate blood and reveal pieces of their family history. The aim of the research is to collect samples of blood, from which DNA is taken, and family histories from at least 100,000 people. This week, samples are being taken from history hunters at BYU's annual Genealogy and Family History Conference. In the next three months, BYU researchers will head to Massachusetts, Georgia, Montana, Iowa, Arizona, Texas, and California to gather samples and talk about the project.
