Mary Elizabeth Green, b. abt 1840 (departed from Bremen, Germany between 1840s-50s) was supposedly a servant or nanny for a Dr. Gundry who was head of or associated with the psychiatric hospital in the Arbutus, MD area (AKA Spring Grove). Also, one of her children, Irvin or John Williams, was admitted there in later years but the hospital has not been helpful at all with information on Dr. Gundry, employees of or former patients. Charles Williams, b. abt 1840s or earlier. He was a slave and didn't know what happened to his people or whether his real name was Charles and/or Williams. Someone also mentioned that there used to be a plantation where the college is now. Does anyone have any on plantations in that area or can you steer me in the right direction? Supposedly, Charles Williams was a slave on one of those plantations and that's how he and Mary met. Any information on Dr. Richard or Robert Gundry would be appreciated.
