Her Daughter's name was Ruby Belle Francois who was born in Tomah, WI and was my Grandmother as well. She had married my Grandfather Melvin Laverne Johnson in or around Mondovi, WI, and Melvin died June 12th, 1944 in the Normandy invasion on the shores of France. Ruby Belle Johnson (Maiden Francois) (her stepfather's name was Hedding, and no information about her paternal father except his name might have been Underhill) came out to California in the Santa Cruz area with my Father Kenneth Melvin Johnson.
