As a seeker of my family's roots; trying to trace four different and difficult lines- hard to follow, with totally unrelated lines sharing the same common names, I am mystified at the methods you are using here. This doesn't seem to be a system that promotes open discussion of family trees. E-mailing queries and postings through you, with no knowledge of what else is being discussed by others renders it nigh impossible to make any relevant use of the system: it's not a forum, or a question and answer page because data to back up findings is not shared and discussed. How could it be, with such restrictive constraints applied to a supposedly open discussion? What good is it to state your family lines, to state that there are three Frederick Fraleys, when all I have ever seen are two, who happen to be father and son, to state that you descend from branches of the family of which, no researcher I am acquainted with, is familiar? Penny Fraley Richardson, who is apparently held in y! our high esteem by your reference to her research, fails to answer postings, and has never posted her family lines, probably because she cannot! She did answer several people on Genforum stating that she had posted a court proceeding to which she was privy, to verify her findings, but when several people checked, they were unable to find it! She has given information to dedicated, searching people that seems to have been gleaned from erroneous sources. Several of the genealogy CD's come with a disclaimer stating that these findings have only been transferred from other sources and not verified by research. Please, people- share your information with others so that the truth can be revealed to ALL. Don't think of someone who has different findings than yours as an enemy to be maneuvered about, but as a fellow seeker, to share with and to teach to, AS WELL AS to learn from. These are the high ideals that the rootsweb I know promotes. Steven B. Woods
