    3. Hello everyone I am about to start on the April Journal. So can those who contribute regular items please get them in by the end of February. It would be wonderful to include as many people from our association and experiences in the journal. You can write an article about your research experiences. Short items are fine such as the "aha" moment or news of a family reunion or visit. You may have an interesting experience in your travels. If you have read anything about genealogy or a relevant history book you would like to review the Resource Room Committe is always looking out for new recommendations. Please send pictures as well, if you have, which can add to your item. Also if you know of events coming up between April and July please let me know so that I can promote them in the journal. Please send to me at kathfisher6@hotmail.com. Regards Kath

    3. Hi Kath, A response here for the information given from Anne Dow regarding English Clergy on the website theclergydatabase.org.uk/jsp/search/index/jsp I immediately checked this website as I have two Redman's who ministered at Cambridge in the 1500's. I needed to clarify the information I already had which showed John Redman as the first Dean of Cambridge, who was buried in Westminster Abbey, and Thomas Redman who was the first Dean of the Jesus House at Cambridge. The website started the records in 1540, and guess what I found. John Redman, 1540-1547, DD, Archdeacon (RY) of Stafford 13/11/1540 =5/8/1547, Source LRO b/a/1/14111 Register. Jurisdiction, Lee, Rowland, Coventry and Litchfield 1534 to 1543. AND his patron was King Henry the V111th. Next Thomas Redman, 1544 - 1557, MA, BD, Cambridge/Trinity College. Ordination events; 1. 1st Tonsure , 2. Doorkeeper, 3. Reader, 4. Exorcist, 5. Acolyte, 6. Subdeacon, 7. Deacon, 8. Priest. All recorded as 20/12/1553 (Chetham, Thomas/Sidon 1526-1558.) Appointment events, Rector; Teversham (1557-1557), Vicar: Heversham (9/5/1557- 13/11/1570. My point is that the information I already had was not necessarily accurate, and is now added to and corrected. So researching certainly is very pertinent. I can now add this detail as an amendment to my tree. The above detail was worth looking at. Another interesting point for those of us who I may not have told, taken from my source was that Robert Redman took 500 pound of the family funds, and ran off with John Wesley, and came home after the money ran out!!! mmm, no understanding of the impact of the evangelism of John Wesley. Sincerely Graham Redman. On 2/21/13, Kathleen Fisher <kathfisher6@hotmail.com> wrote: > Hello everyone > > I am about to start on the April Journal. 3. Hello Kathleen Thanks for the request for articles, etc. If you have space I'd appreciate it if you're able to include the following, thanks. Regards Faye Lush Willunga's History Two recent developments may be of interest to FPFHG members, especially those with links to the Willunga district. Willunga Now and Then is an online community project which is just staring up, with the aim of sharing Willunga's history and heritage by telling the stories of the people, places, events and organisations that have shaped Willunga. Contributions are invited from everyone who is willing to share and add their knowledge, stories, photographs and memories. The site uses Wiki technology which means that everyone is welcome to contribute and everyone has the ability to comment and add their own impressions. The aim during 2013 is to add as many articles and recollections as possible to the Now and Then site, leading up to a public launch in 2014 during Willunga's 175th birthday celebrations. For more information, and to find out how to contribute, log on to http://willunga.nowandthen.net.au. The planning group would be delighted to hear from potential contributors. The email address is willunganowandthen@gmail.com. Willunga History News is another recent on-line initiative to share news and events about the history of Willunga, using Blog technology. The latest posts can be seen at http://willungahistorynews.wordpress.com. For those interested, there is an option to automatically receive the latest blog post. A recent article about the Surprising Find of an 1840s sketch of Willunga will soon have a sequel. It seems that the creator of the sketch is very close to being uncovered by staff from the Mitchell Library! Contributions, ideas and suggested topics of interest are very welcome and can be sent via email to willungahistorynews@gmail.com. -----Original Message----- From: fpfhg-list-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:fpfhg-list-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Kathleen Fisher Sent: Thursday, February 21, 2013 3:26 PM To: fpfhg-list@rootsweb.com Subject: [FPFHG-LIST] Journal Hello everyone I am about to start on the April Journal.
