    3. *FPFHG – AUST. INTEREST GROUP – FEBRUARY 9, 2013* Our first meeting for 2013 was another great success. 12 members present and apologies from 6. Members have been fairly quiet over the break but some have … § found and met new cousins and received a family history book § others have jumped over their brickwalls § others have tidied up their files § been involved with a school reunion § started working on their Pioneer and found the collection of photos at the Onkaparinga Library § helped with the Reynella Early Settlers Book § agreed again how wonderful Trove is § donated items for archiving with local Lodge § done research for FPFHG member and once again has found Mundia a wealth of information. § assisted with the acquisition of a family bible on Ebay § organizing plants for the Trading table later in the year § reported on some finds at an archaeological dig on a family hotel site § advised that the Clarendon/Kangarilla Cemetery booklet has been updated § advised of much vandalism at WTC found when taking photos § started researching German records We discussed the Pioneer Register and some members have taken names to research. We also discussed making some field trips during the year, a list of possible places will be prepared and discussed at next meeting. Some items from the Resource Room have been added to the books being held by Ros. March meeting will include a short presentation on “Finding items on TROVE” and “Using the Snipping Tool” - these are updates from a previous session in 2012. Heather Boyce will be doing this presentation. Please send your queries to Ros so we can have examples to discuss. *Down Memory Lane – * Members are reminded about the Seaford Library meeting on Thursday, Feb 14. Members showed interest in several workshops being arranged by Onkaparinga Council and we are going to book into these. Pioneer Register names being researched from todays meeting are: PADDICK; DIX; O’SULLIVAN/SULLIVAN; CLARKE; BUTTON; SKINNER; GOLDSMITH Next meeting will be March 9th, 2013

    3. Boy am I sorry I couldn't make it to the first meeting. Sounds like it was very ineresting and what a lot of ground covered. Unfortunately will be away for the next meeting on the 9th.
