    1. [FPFHG-LIST] Quiz night, mail group & chariot isp problems

    3. Hi All Friends who attended the FPFHG Quiz night on Saturday asked me to pass on their thanks for a very enjoyable evening. They said the Group are really friendly and there was a very good atmosphere in the hall. The questions were general knowledge, well presented and well researched - except perhaps that fact that Greg Norman was a FORMER golf star - he recently nearly won the British Open Golf!! On another subject several members have commented that they are very pleased with the new mail group - it is keeping members in touch. And last but not least - is anyone having problems with chariot? I use chariot as my ISP and Outlook Express to send my mail via dial up. Just over a week ago chariot refused to send any of my emails to people with adam, bigpond or optus isp's. I can send emails to overseas, chariot, government email addresses etc but still not to anyone using adam, bigpond or optus isp's. Chariot's options to me (after many hours on the phone to chariot) are to get rid of Outlook Express - spend at least 2 hours downloading something else - even then it might not work. Or I can try and send everything via chariot's web mail - which means I have to be online and I cannot send attachments. Neither of these options seems acceptable service to me. Is anyone else having problems?? Thanks Regards Vanessa Catterall

    3. Hi Vanessa, The people at our table also said how much they enjoyed the Quiz night, and we thought the organisaton was excellent. Re your comments on Chariot, we have had similar trouble trying to send emails with dial up. We haven't been too happy with Chariot for some time but the thought of trying to contact everyone in our address book has stopped me finding another server. However I think perhaps it's time to bite the bullet! 3. I have been with Chariot for many years - firstly on dialup and now on broadband and have had absolutely no problems whatsoever sending or receiving emails and I have always used Outlook Express. All sounds a bit suspect to me !! Perhaps it is because you are on dial up.
