Allen Fox's father was the son of Daniel Fox and Hannah Burr. He was born July 1, 1755 in East Haddam Conn.(East Haddam Vital Records, 1665-1852) and died Sept 17, 1831 in Kortright, New York. He married Chloe Crittenden* b. Dec. 3, 1761 of Meredith, N. Y. in New Canaan, Columbia, New York Nov. 6, 1783. Children were Angel Fox 1784-1784; Elisha Fox; Elias Fox 1787- ? married Jemima ?; Lucas Cox 1797-1815 married Betsy ?; Amasa Fox 1795-1880 married (1) Betsy Bernard; (2) Mehitabel Barnes; Allen Fox 1798-1846 married (1) Jane Moore; (2) Sarah Abba Drake; Herman Fox 1800 - ? married Nancy (Agnes) Moore; Chloe Fox 1803 - ? married John Gaddis. 1175-83 A Rev. soldier, 7th Conn.
