My sister has a photo of William and Mary with their names written under them. Included under" Mary "is the notation "Cherokee". Other shirttail relatives have indicated that our line may contain Cherokee blood but I can find no definative proof. I am the son of "Nolan" son of" Elzie" son of "William" and would like to find out for sure if I really am 1/8 Cherokee but this part of my history seems to be a bit clouded. Any help would be welcome.
