Va. The Gose name also appears in some of the Fox research I have done but I cannot connect any of them to my ancestor (James V. Fox). There was a large number of children but at the same time, there was more than one Mathias in that area. The Tazewell Co. Historical Society would have info. as well as J. Newton Harman's book on early SWVA.people. Hope this helps.
