It was so true. But to have a living uncle who still denies any of his ancestry when we the younger generation are searching for the truth that we know is there, is just appalling. I saw the picture with my own eyes and he still denies it. Most of my people came from Mount Pleasant, Pa so I still think that was Cherokee teritory. And yes I think it sad that a culture was lost. But I now am in touch with my indian side in me. I have always all my life known that that I have indian in me. My cheek bones are high and my jaw is square and I have had a dentist tell me that I have an indian jaw line. My sisters are really dark and I am golden skined when I tan. My brother could not grow a beard either. And there are other family traits that where passed down from these two indian females in this picture. Keep in touch. Beverly
