    3. CAN SOMEONE HELP???? I recieved the following note from a gentleman researching the Hairald family and came across some of them on our FOX Cemetery Site. He tried to reach the submitter of the cemetery info but his mail was bounced back to him. Can someone help him? Is the person with the old email address '[email protected]' still around??????? Joleen -----Original Message----- From: Robert A. Rodgers [SMTP:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, December 31, 2002 3:07 PM To: '[email protected]' Subject: Fox Cemetery Hello, I was looking over RootsWeb.co today (first time) and searched for my mom's fathers surname (Hairald). It is not a common name so I was certainly suprised when your message appeared. When I read the location of the cemetery (Obion County TN) I had a feeling the two Hairalds listed on the cemetery list of names were related. I remembered my mom telling me many years ago that her father (Luther Hairald) was born in Obion County TN. So with those two connections I then called my mom. She is going to check her records to verify the names. She does remember her Aunt saying her grandparents were buried in Obion County TN. My mom and another relative (different line) have well established ancestors but of a different path (mom's mother line). My mom has always had problems locating her father's ancestors. I'm sure because records weren't always well kept back then. As I mentioned earlier, it isn't a common name and many past searches have not produced results. Do you know of any history or relation of Adalade Hairald and William Hairald to your relatives? My mom was told by her Aunt that the Hairalds arrived in Tennessee via Indiana/North Carolina route. My grandfather, Luther Hairald grew up near Memphis and later went to the Arkansas School for the deaf. He was the only survivor of several young children who contracted meningitis. In Arkansas he meet my future grandmother (former Doss) at the School for the deaf. They moved to Mississippi where my mom grew up. Best regards, Robert A.
