    3. Thank you Jerry, Yes it is a paper chase and an elusive one at that. Because they settled in Oneida County, New York, based on what I know of the settlement of that area, my Fox ancestors came from Connecticut or Fox is an anglicized version of Fuchs which points to 18th century emigration from the Palatine into the Mohawk Valley. Again thank you and, in research, a door closed can be as valuable as one which is opened. The name Carl Fox, from Mt. Morris and Morgantown area is my kin folk.Unfortunately I havent been able to find out much about him.I was there once as a child in 66' or 67' to visit .I think I was three. Its all a foggy dream. It was the only time I ever saw my uncles or my Grandmother Glenna .My father Gary Fox told me we were of Iroqois descent He's passed on now and left me with precious little information about my Fox roots.Ive Said pretty much all I can remember him telling me other than the day the halfbreeds came out of the hills into Morgantown raising cane about burrial rights (being halfbreeds they werent allowed to be burried alongside whites) I guess Grandpa Carl was rear -ended in a car accident ,it broke his neck and he was in a neck-brace for some time. One day he went hunting rabbit (neck-brace and all) and let loose with his double-barrell shot-gun.It killed him instantly, completely snaping his neck.Precious little as i was saying..so here i am ,40,and still not sure of my past.
