I've written twice this year, but have received no response. Anyway, she has John Fox being born in 1810 - possibly in TN - marrying Elizabeth ? ca. 1840, with John's death ca. 1875. Their children were: John, born 1842 in TX, Austin, b. 1843 in TX, Frank Marion b. 1845 in TX (have also seen his birthplace as Terre Haute, Vigo Co., IN), Empson, b. 1849, TX, William Riley, b. 1853 in TX, Mary 1857 in TX and Margaret in 1858, TX. I have NO information on John's parents or siblings, but think there's some disparity in dates between "your" John and 'mine'. Whattya think? Angelyn Cunningham

Nov 26, 2002 Every once in a while a genealogy fraud will appear that all of us have come to recognize for what it is. However, just yesterday, I received e-mail that was so subtly written, that I felt I should post a warning. The e-mail I received spoke of one of my family branches and mentioned a famous ancestor--that is available in any family literature. I responded, asking a few simple questions about his family--so far so good. However, I received a followup e-mail that ignored my questions and blew the credibility of the author by making claims that I know, from experience, are not likely--like in a 3 months period having traced the family back to 1100's Europe, and the clincher was that he was working on a book that would sell for $50, and he made it clear he would not share ANY info until his book was out. Anyway, I have a rule that I will gladly share info with a person, if they will do the same with me. The above guy failed this test. Also I have a rule that I will not put money in a book that is backed up with only vague statements on its contents. All have a great Thanksgiving. Al [email protected]
