    3. Sherry, I am sorry to hear of your father's passing. I will miss his postings. I could tell from the amount of genealogy work that he did, that he truly loved the research. You and your family will be in my thoughts.

    3. The Associated Press today published an article about NARA's Access to Archival Databases (AAD) System, a database of 20 federal agency records that will allow you to check 50 million records. Didn't copy the whole article since the copyright said the material could not be redistributed, so here is the article link: http://www.cnn.com/2003/TECH/internet/04/05/online.archive.ap/index.html and the link to the database: http://www.archives.gov/aad/ Happy searching!

Go to your Internet Explorer and Type in http://www.familysearch.org and click on it.When the home-page comes up, look for the statement " Search for your ancestors.......", click on it and you should see a window asking for information, names, etc. In the place asking for first name, type in Charles A. and in the other asking for the last name, type in Ross. In the spot asking for the name of the spouse, type in Phoebe, and click on it. After you click on it you will notice that on top it shows under Ancestral file the name of Charles A. Ross, click on it.If you click on the statement Heritage for the child, Francis the pedigree comes up with several lines shown, click even on the names at end of the window and you will see more data.

    1. [FOX] FOX family of Belmont, OH; Hancock, WV
    2. Stephen Fox
    3. I am looking for information on my FOX family. Here's the information that I have: Gottlieb FOX (b. Dec 1846, Germany; d. 19 Jul 1903) married Louisa EBERLE (b. Jan 1844, Germany, d. 3 Jan 1903) on 12 Sep 1867 in Belmont County, Ohio. They had several children: Fritz (b. Jan 1876, Tennessee), George (b. Oct 1876, Ohio), Charles H. (b. Jun 1881, Ohio), Edward (b. 14 May 1885, Ohio), Henry (b. Mar 1889, Ohio), and Minia (b. Dec 1892, Ohio). I have found this family in only one census, the 1900 one, which did not indicate any dates for immigration, but did indicate that Louisa had 10 children and only 5 were living. (This fact seems to contradict that there were six children listed with the family.) The family was in Bellaire at that time. Most of the children have been hard to follow. I have found no more information about Fritz. George may appear in the 1920 census in Bellaire. Edward was living in Bellaire in 1910 and 1920 and died 28 Apr 1938, being buried in Rose Hill Cemetery in Bellaire, Belmont County, Ohio. Henry was in Bellaire in 1910. Minnie was in Bellaire in all census years up to 1930. On 12 Aug 1911, she married Samuel J. SHERWOOD in Belmont County. She and Samuel had three children: Samuel, Jr. (b. 3 Dec 1912), Viola (b. Abt 1912), and James (b. Jun 1918). Minnie died 6 Apr 1973 in Bellaire. Charles H. FOX (b. Jun 1881, Bellaire, Belmont, OH; d. Abt 1956, Allentown, Lehigh, PA?) married Bessie May ANDERSON (b. 26 Jul 1885, Bellaire, Belmont, OH; d. 10 Mar 1950) on 10 Feb 1904 in Belmont County. They had 8 children: Geraldine (b. abt 1905), Jeanette (b. abt 1906), Charles Henry, Jr. (b. 16 Apr 1908), Audrey (b. abt 1909), Elsworth (b. abt 1914), Lea (b. Sep 1915), Living, and Bertram (b. abt 1922). Between 1920 and 1930, this family moved to Hancock County, WV. Charles Henry FOX, Jr. (b. 16 Apr 1908, Bellaire, Belmont, OH; d. 23 Oct 1985, Galena Park, Harris, TX) married Sylvia Helen HOOPER (b. 16 Jun 1911, Mannington, Marion, WV; d. 25 Aug 1991, Laredo, Webb, TX) sometime around 1930. They had two sons, both still living. The family moved to Galena Park around 1943. Is there anyone else who is related to this family? Stephen Fox
