SC (Children 6) d. betw.1811 and 1813. md 2) Sarah _____ abt 1818 Laurens Co, SC, b abt 1786 (64 in 1850 census) SC, d bef Nov 2, 1868 (date of will of probate Panthersville, Dekalb Co. GA buried Wesley CHapel, but no marker found. (9 children born to this couple) PROBATE COURT, LAURENS COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA In the name of God Amen. This twentieth day of July, 1787, I, John Fowller of Durbins Creek Enore River and State of South Carolina being in good health and perfect memory thanks be given to the living God. Therefore, calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament, that is to say that principally and first of all I give and recommend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God that gave it me, and my body to the Earth to be buried in Christian Burial at the discretion of the Executors nothing doubting but at the Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the power of the Almighty God to bless me in this life, I give Demise and Dispose of the same in the following manner and form: Imprimis I give & bequeath to Molly my Dearly Beloved Wife one hundred and fifty acres of land, part of tract of two hundred acres lying on the mouth of Durbins Creek on Enoree River, during her widowhood but at her Decrease or marriage to be delivered to my son Thomas Mitchell Fowller together with fifty acres, the remainder of the above two hundred acres & as for my moveable effects ad such housall stuff, and cattle: hogs, sheep, cows and horses to be equally divided amongst my wife and seven children living with me at this instant. I also bequeath to my daughter Pricilla Stone one shilling, Deborah Fowller my daughter I also bequeath one shilling. I also bequeath to my beloved son Mose (or MORE) Fowller one shilling, also I bequeath to my daughter Tabitha Fowler one shilling Item I I give to my beloved son Jesse Fowller fifty acres of land being the upper end of a tract I now live on, also I give to my beloved son James Fowller fifty acres of land joining the above fifty. I also give my son America Fowller fifty acres adjoining my son James Fowller's fifty. I also give my beloved son Joel fifty Acres adjoining my beloved son America's fifty it being the lower tract I also constitue make and ordain my well beloved wife and Thomas Moore my Executoors of this my last will and testament. And I hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannul all and every other former wills Legacies and Bequests and Executors by or in any way before named willed and bequeathed ratifying and confirming this and no other my Last Will and Testament. Obtained from Laurens County, SC It is also in the old unindexed Will Book A-1, pages 32, 33, 34, will # 39. The Will of Richard Fowler, whom we believe to be a brother of John but have not yet the necessary proof, same book p.39. Their propeerties joined, they got their grants about the same time, they witcessed legal documents for each other. Both wills found on F.5481 2a, Pt.1 at Genealogical Library in Salt Lake CIty, Utah. The photostats from which this will was made from Laurens Co courthouse in Laurens.
