FOWLER Did volunteer work for Baptist church Mary N. (LONG) FOWLER, 86, of 4 Silver Drive, Apt. 7, Nashua (NH), died at her daughter's home on Sunday, June 6, 1999. Mrs. FOWLER was born March 11, 1913, on Cursoco Island, N.C., a daughter of the late John and Hazel (CRUMPLER) LONG. She had lived in Wilmington, N.C., before moving to Nashua in 1994. Mrs. FOWLER was the widow of Lloyd SIMMONS and Carl FOWLER. She worked as a nurse's aide at the James Walker Hospital in Wilmington for 28 years. Mrs. FOWLER was affiliated with the First Baptist Church in Wilmington where she also did volunteer work. She attended schools in Old Dock, N.C. She was predeceased by a son, Robert Lee SIMMONS. Survivors include, two daughters and a son-in-law, Carol MARTEIN of Nashua and Margie and Wayne BENFIELD of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Beverly SIMMONS of Newmarket and Tommy and Janice SIMMONS of Wilmington; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert and Beatrice LONG and Melvin LONG, all of Cursoco Island; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two nieces. The Davis Funeral Home in Nashua is in charge of arrangements.
