Are there any Fowler descendants out there whose ancestors were born in RI in the 1700s who came to NY abt. 1790? I've been tracking several families from RI who settled in Albany Co, NY (name later changed to Washington Co.). They lived in close proximity in White Creek for many years. I believe my g-g-g-grandfather, Abel, is related to this group. He was born abt. 1781 in RI and was in Genessee Co. (became Monroe Co.) by abt. 1816 (per the 1855 state census). His first wife was Mary Eddy (b. VT) whom he married abt. 1808 in Herkimer Co. NY. Are there any cousins out there who would like to share information?
