Cynthia M. FOWLER MARION (SC) - Cynthia McCRACKIN FOWLER, 43, died Monday, May 24, 1999, at home after an illness. She was born April 22, 1956, in Horry County, a daughter of Ruby ALFORD McCRACKIN and the late Bliss McCRACKIN. Mrs. FOWLER was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Mullins High School and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Marion (SC). Survivors, in addition to her mother of Mullins, include her husband, Dr. Don H. FOWLER of Marion; two daughters, Kristi V. HAYES of Mullins (SC) and Nicole VINSON of Myrtle Beach (SC); a granddaughter, Alexis HAYES of Mullins; and five sisters, Ruby EADDY of Lake City (SC), Barbara ANTHONY of Miami (FL), Greta VAN RIPER of Rome, Ga., Eva HINDS of Silver Spring, Md., and Miriam SMYLES of Crofton, Md. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2838 Divine St., Columbia 29606. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Cox-Collins Funeral Home. The Rev. Gene Curry will officiate. Burial will be in Devotion Gardens Cemetery. Fancie D. FOWLER LORIS (SC) - Fancie Dell FOWLER, 86, of the Live Oak community died Tuesday, May 25, 1999, at Loris Community Hospital after an illness. She was born May 12, 1913, in Horry County, a daughter of the late Jim LEWIS and the late Margaret SARVIS LEWIS. Mrs. FOWLER was a homemaker and a member of Live Oak Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Hyman Bertran "H.B.'' FOWLER of Loris; two sisters, Louise RICHARDSON of Charleston (SC) and Eva JOHNSON of Loris; two grandchildren, Glenn FOWLER and Ronnie Lynn FOWLER, both of Loris; and a great-grandchild, Jason FOWLER of Loris. Mrs. FOWLER was predeceased by a daughter, Augusteen FOWLER. The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Live Oak Baptist Church. The Rev. Edwin Strickland will officiate. Burial will be in Cane Branch Cemetery. Hardwick Funeral Home of Loris is in charge.
