Thelma Elizabeth FOWLER THOMAS, 91, of Charleston (SC), a former music teacher with the Cappellman School of Music and a homemaker, died Sunday (December 12, 1999) in a local nursing home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday (December 15, 1999) in Magnolia Cemetery. Burial will be directed by McAlister's Downtown Chapel. Mrs. THOMAS was born in Atlanta (GA), a daughter of Joseph FOWLER and Nell Calhoun Baldwin FOWLER. She was a graduate of the College of Charleston and a member of Chi Omega. She was a soloist with the Charleston Choral Society. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and the widow of Dr. John P. THOMAS, Jr. Surviving are a daughter, Martha T. RUDISILL of Charleston; a brother, James E. FOWLER of Bradenton, FL; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
