Hello, I will post this again and hope that someone will read it who can help me. Archibald (Archie, Archibal) FOWLER md. Edith WEST, dau of Alexander WEST. Archibald FOWLER d. 1839, Greenville Co., SC, and left 11 children. Of these 11, there were three sets of twins. There were three sons: John W. Fowler, West I. Fowler, and Alexander Fowler. Since two of these are named for his father-in-law, Alexander West, it would seem that the 3rd son, John W. Fowler, might be named for Archibald's father. In the past, I have been told that he was the son of John Fowler or the son of Joseph Fowler of Wake Co., NC. I have seen a couple of John Fowler's mentioned on the list lately, and I've read about Joseph Fowler but found no son Archibald. Someone else wrote and said that the actual copy of Archibald's will mentions John as his father. If anyone has any info on this, will you please write me. I will appreciate it very much! I'm getting desperate with this guy, and I know he had a father! I just don't know who he is.
