    2. Hi, I've been watching the surname list for awhile and thought I'd give some information that may or may not be helpful. I am looking for an Edmund FOWLER, who married a Elizabeth ABRAMSE. I have been unable to place my Edmund, but found in the N.Y.G.&B. record an article on the descendants of Henry FOWLER. (April 1938 Vol 69 No.2. "by Theresa HALL BRISTOL") In this article it names the Son of Edmund Fowler and Rachel HUNT FOWLER as Solomon FOWLER. "76.Solomon FOWLER (Edmund,Henry,Henry)youngest son of Edmund FOWLER and Sarah HUNT, this is an error, and later they mention that Rachel FOWLER, made her will and devised to her son Solomon two-thirds of her estate. Solomon was born __ at Eastchester, and was killed in 1780 at Horseneck, when a member of a Loyalist company"attacking a party of" (American)"rebels". He was licensed to marry May 20, 1761, Sarah HUNT, sister to Thomas HUNT of Westchester. Solomon was under age when his father made his will in 1747.According to its terms the executors were to sell seven acres of land and the old mill and house north of the house and mills, the proceeds to be put to interest to furnish Solomon a school or collage and medical education. The house and mill and land were sold in 1747 to Ebenezer Burling;but Solomon FOWLER became a farmer, according to later deeds. On Jan.23,1761,Rachel Fowler made her will and devised to her son Solomon two thirds of her estate, including dwelling house, barn and orchard; he to pay each of his sisters Rachel Palmer, Hannah Butler, and Abigail FOWLER, 100 each, has an L in front, think it is pounds? In 1763,Solomon FOWLER, having then but one child (Rachel),made his will leaving his estate to his wife and child, and if Rachel should die, to his wife. He made his brother- in-law Thomas HUNT, executor. His widow Sarah FOWLER testified in Nova Scotia in 1786 that they had seven children born to them after the date of his will, and that Rachel had deceased. Without listing the whole article, Iam going to quote a part of the article that interest's me and wonder if anyone might help. I know I am grasping at straws, but after Solomon died, his wife Sarah, went with her son Edmund the oldest who had been in Damerary, when his father was killed, to Nova Scotia to try to get compensation for the property that was confiscated. He is listed to be about 14 or 15 and that would make is birth about 1772 which is the right age for my Edmund Fowler. I can't seem to tie him to any families in either Westchester or Dutchess Co. and hopefully someone can help me figure this out. My Edmund FOWLER and Elizabeth Abramse are listed in both the BARTOW genealogy and the AVERY Genealogy. If anyone would like me to type the whole article I will be happy to do it, but it might take me sometime, kinda slow. Thanks for everyone's time, Lynn
