I realized it was the grandfather, but thought some might like to see the will. My question about the relationship would be regarding the dates. Rachel, daughter of Solomon and Sarah, would have been born before 1763 since she was named in the will. You mentioned that Edmund was the oldest child - Rachel having died - and that his birth was ca 1772. That would be a 10 year gap. Certainly not an impossible situation, but it seems strange that they had 7 more children after Rachel but waited 10 years to start having them (maybe I did not understand your statement, "her son Edmund the oldest."
