In my search for Joseph FOWLER who left Greenville Dist., SC, and went to Cocke Co., TN, I was alerted to the following cemetery at Josephs Chapel Church. I believe there are some of these folks that came from my Greenville FOWLERS, but cannot prove it as yet. I believe the above Joseph FOWLER was the father of Archibald FOWLER of Greenville, SC, and d. 1839. The following comes directly from the site and was brought to my attention by the gentleman, Mr. Reed, who surveyed the cemetery. Josephs Chapel Cemetery dates back to at least 1844 and is located beside Keisling Road off of (as of 10/31/1999) highway 160 in the Centerview community of the 3rd Civil District of Cocke County, Tennessee. There are many unmarked graves.
