Hi all. I have been looking carefully (for me at least) for one of my lines. I have located a record from the 1870 US census which records my g. g. grandfather, "Jeff Fowler" at age 39 living with wife Sarah (38), daughters Ellen (11) and M.B. (4) and a son, M.F. (14) in Lincoln County, Tennessee. I am reasonably sure that the "MF" counted in the census is Madison Franklin my g. grandfather because of his age and family tradition that his father was named "Jeff". I have looked around but cannot find an earlier or later mention of Jeff so this is my dead end. Anyone know of this family?
