Hello To You All, My great great great grandfather was James Madison Fowler born on January 30, 1811 in possibly Washington co. Va. or in Tennessee, he married Sarah McHaney around 1840 in Tennessee or Williamson co. Ill. and James M. died in Williamson co. Ill. on October 29, 1874. This Fowler family lived in Union Grove Township, near Pittsburg in Williamson co. Ill. James M. Fowler was a son of John and Elizabeth Dorsey Fowler who are buried in the MT. Harmony Baptist Cemetery near Knoxville, Tenn. John Fowler was born on April 30, 1766 and died on March 9, 1845. John Fowler might have been a son of Samuel and Fannie Lawson Fowler who came from around Franklin co. NC. This information was compiled from some of the southern Illinois relatives in the 1980s and 90s. I descend from Caroline Fowler who married William H. Avery in Williamson co.
