I would like to try posting my Fowler line, all right my Fowler dash (too short to be a line) in hopes that someone might be connected to help me along. My mother was Vivian Leigh Fowler born Oct. 23, 1933 in East St. Louis, IL. Her father was Frank "Jack" Earl Fowler who was most likely born in MO, although I don't know where he was born exactly, nor do I know when he was born, but my grandmother said he was 40 when they were married in 1933 in Carlyle, Clinton County, IL. So he was born somewhere around 1893, as I am not sure that she wasn't rounding his age off at 40 when she said it. He had been married before and had two daughters that my mother had been told about living in MO. My mother's middle name, Leigh, was supposedly a family name from the Fowler side, and her brother Frank was named after their father. Frank had a brother Ronald, and two sisters, Helen and Ina. Frank's father ran a boarding house in Venice. IL down by the river across from the gambling boats. I have a picture of Frank's mother that has the name Edward written beautifully on the back of it in faint pencil. My grandmother was told by Frank's sister that he had said that he had taken care of their divorce, and he married again. Eventually my grandmother did too. So I know that he was married at least three times, and I am not sure that he actually ever divorced my grandmother. Anybody out there with Fowlers connected to Clinton/Marion Co., IL , Venice, IL and MO? I could sure use a boost in finding a second piece of the puzzle. Thanks, Donna
