Pleased to see more activity on the FOWLER List. I would like to post my Fowler family in hopes someone will see some similarity in mine to theirs'. I have my family back to the birth of my Great Grandfather, Ezra Lonzo (Alonzo, Elonzo) Fowler, born in Willoughby, Lake County, Ohio in 1842. Ezra named his first son George Albert Fowler, bn 1868 in Chariton County, MO. My Fowler family used a naming pattern that would indicate my GGGrandfather Fowler had the given name of either George or Albert or both. Great Great Grandfather (George or Albert or both) was probably born in the time span of 1800 to 1810. On census records, Ezra states his father was from New York and in family verbal history, he is said to be of English ancestry. "George or Albert or both" married a lady, name unknown, who was "born at sea" coming from Scotland to America. I am reasonably sure that there were siblings in Ezra's family. Does anyone have a similar history in their Fowler family? If so, I would sure like to hear from you. Darline Fowler Smith
