Hey Dave, [snip] > There is another Hilliard, grandson of Joel born about 1852 died 1936 in Walker Co. TX. [snip] Based on your mention of "died 1936", I believe you are refering to my gg-grandaddy. I know of three Hilliard Fowlers in Georgia in the 1800s. 1. Dr. Hilliard Judge Fowler (b: 11 Dec 1816 Laurens Co., SC d: 25 Oct 1891 DeKalb Co, GA) Dr. Fowler is the son of Joel Fowler (b:ca 1780 Laurens Co., SC d:26 Dec 1853 DeKalb Co, GA) 2. Hilliard Judge Fowler (b:24 Oct 1844 Walker Co., GA d:28 Apr 1936 Bristol, Ellis Co., TX) Hilliard is the great-grandson of Joel Fowler (1780) and grand-nephew of Dr. Fowler (1816). He is also my gg-grandaddy and I have personal knowledge that he is buried in Bristol in Ellis County. 3. Hilliard Franklin Fowler (b: 21 Dec 1848 DeKalb Co, GA d:?,?) I thought Hilliard F. was related to the other two Hilliards through Joel (1780), but after seeing another message about info in "Greatness Without Fame", I need to re-examine my data on Hilliard F. Additional Info on one line of Fowlers descended from John Fowler of Laurens Co, SC is available from my website: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~klfowler/index.html Cheers... Ken Fowler
