Albert was killed in a mining accident in Cripple Creek, Colorado in 1896 and his widow Alice then moved to Kansas I believe. My grandfather was their son (also named Albert) and was put up for adoption in 1896 in Omaha, NE. He was the youngest of 7 or 8 children.
